A Brief Biography!

Ms. Tomko was born and raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, (Home of Joe Namath). She graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. After teaching first and second grade at Lone Star, she earned a Masters in Education from Slippery Rock University. Then she opened the Lone Star Pre-School where she is presently teaching. She has taught at Lone Star for 34 years. Her interests include watching Pittsburgh Steelers football, traveling, playing piano, church activities, Canasta, reading and animals. (especially her two dogs, Max and Sanchez) Ms. Tomko hopes that she has been perceived as a caring, nurturing person who has had a positive infuence on children. Ms. Tomko feels blessed and honored to be chosen Teacher of the Year!
